The Mulliner division will be celebrating Bentley's 100th Anniversary next year with a Mulsanne special edition. It pays tribute to the company's founder, W.O. Bentley includes a part from one of his cars.
The model is ordered as a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. bentley smart key that W.O. The influence of the car can be felt throughout the cabin and even the Mulliner illuminated cocktail cabinet that features an open display window that displays an original crankshaft from the 8 Litre car that is displayed inside.
Other highlights include a chrome-colored application running backwards along the side of the car that has an air vent that is photoetched which incorporates W.O. The front grille is modeled in 1930s-style Onyx and there's an optional chrome application around the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille is also distinctive, with the chrome-colored shell instead of the usual body-color mesh like that of the regular Mulsanne and incorporating the Flying B logo as well.
The key box is made of Bentley wings and is fitted with an ebony lining. Individual key pouches can be bought to match or contrast the key box. The commemorative set includes a 1:18 scale model and a flying "B" paperweight. The set also comes with an illustrated booklet that features never-before seen images of the original 1930s Bentley 8 Litre.
